Grove Hall Grantees

We envision a community that is thriving culturally, economically, and equitably. Grove Hall residents will lead the movement for transformation in their community. Our grantees' ideas address core issues in the Grove Hall neighborhood including, resident organizing, food insecurity, physical health, building social connections, and creative placemaking. Nicole Flynt - Not Your Average Yoga Teacher

Not Your Average Yoga provided free trauma-informed yoga classes to help Grove Hall residents realize their spirit and impact self worth. These classes introduced coping skills along with relaxation techniques.

Violence in Boston

Covid-19 Food Relief

Violence In Boston partnered with Food for the Soul, a black-owned restaurant located in the heart of Grove Hall, to provide meals to families during the pandemic. With the support of 25 volunteers, Violence in Boston provided thousands of meals to families in the area and and increased awareness around disparities in food access.

Fresh Food Generation

Covid-19 Food Relief

Fresh Food Generation provided emergency food relief to families affiliated with Friends of the Children. This included prepared meals, grocery bags and toiletries. Fresh Food Generation delivered 150 meal packages to families using the grant provided by the Grove Hall Trust.

Hutchings Street Neighbors

Hutchings Street Neighbors engage neighborhood residents and inform residents of neighborhood resources through annual summer block parties.
